The primary items on the committee’s agenda include presentations on FDOT’s Central Polk Parkway Design Study, Draft 2035 Mobility Vision Plan Needs Assessment, the Ridge Scenic Highway (SR 17) Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, and the approval of the Draft FY 2010/11-2011/12 Unified Planning Work Program. The winners of the annual “Future of Transportation in Polk County” art contest will also be announced and awards presented. A public hearing on amendments to the currently adopted Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for FY2009/10-2013/14 will be held.
