LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN

The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is the, federally required, long range (25 years) transportation vision to guide the effective investment of funds for all types of travel (driving, biking, walking, public transportation, and freight movement) throughout Polk County. Our LRTP is called Momentum 2040.  On December 10, 2015 the Polk TPO Board adopted Momentum 2040. Information related to Momentum 2040 can be found below. The first amendment to the Momentum 2040 occured on June 9, 2016.  This amendment included changes to each chapter in the main document and the appendix.

The Polk TPO updates the LRTP every five years to ensure it evolves with changes in the social, demographic, and economic characteristics of the community.  The previous LRTP 2035 Mobility Vision Plan was adopted on December 7, 2010.
